Frequently asked questions
And our answers to them
The certification process runs your project through the ringer – identifying security flaws and poking holes that raise critical questions about regulatory compliance, transparency, and sustainable business practice. Having a third-party certify your project in these areas builds trust with your community and potential investors.
We work with teams who are willing to be transparent, compliant, and who have a vision of using blockchain for good.
We evaluate each project to determine if the certification process is even viable. Simply fill out our intake form here.
The cost for certification varies greatly project to project. Understand that we need to consider smart contract auditing as well as any necessary regulatory compliance auditing, which will be unique to each project we work with.
A typical certification takes between 6 and 8 weeks, but may take longer if we hit roadblocks along the way.
If you fail certification, you’ll have the opportunity to resolve any errors that we have identified on our report. We’ll re-evaluate identified tasks and issue a passing result if warranted.
Each certification is valid for 1 year from issuance. You may reapply for certification at any time.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) means doing more than the bare minimum required by law for your stakeholders, whether it’s treating your employees well, taking good care of your customers, or being environmentally responsible. Many studies have shown that CSR, properly managed, is a source of goodwill and profit for the company. We evaluate your CSR engagement for investors and other stakeholders who might care, but your CSR score does not affect whether you pass the Token Standard.
We offer a range of services outside of certification, including but not limited to:
- Token / smart contract development
- White paper support
- Smart contract auditing
- Financial auditing
- Legal auditing
- Market research
- Marketing support
- Design & usability
- Payment handling
